German Chancellor: Economy Undergoing Major Transformation
Berlin, June 22 (QNA) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stressed that the German economy is undergoing a major transformation, noting that strengthening Germany's position in the industrial sector and maintaining the competitiveness of German companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises and skilled trades businesses, are key responsibilities of the government.
Merz said that Germany remains a strong country despite the challenges it faces, stressing that the federal government is working to address the issues that concern citizens.
He added that the government aims to create conditions that enable companies to operate successfully both within Germany and in international markets, emphasizing that preserving jobs and promoting economic growth are among its top priorities.
The German chancellor acknowledged that some projects and reforms are progressing more slowly than hoped, but he stressed that reforms are not an end in themselves; rather, they are a means of solving problems and improving conditions. (QNA)
