UAE, Syria Presidents Discuss Regional Developments
Abu Dhabi, April 22 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa discussed several regional issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on regional and international peace and security, as well as their impact on international maritime security and the global economy.
During the meeting on Wednesday, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance various aspects of their cooperation, particularly in development and economic fields.
In this context, the Syrian President reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting civilians, facilities, and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region, which constitute a violation of the sovereignty of these countries, international laws and norms, and undermine regional security and stability.
Earlier Wednesday, Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa arrived in Abu Dhabi on an official visit to discuss developments in the region and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. (QNA)
