New York, April 22 (QNA) - Major stock indices on Wall Street closed higher on Wednesday.

The S&P 500 rose 73.78 points, or 1.03 percent, to close at 7,137.12.

The Nasdaq Composite gained 393.55 points, or 1.62 percent, ending at 24,653.52.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 333.42 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 49,482.80. (QNA)
