UAE Foreign Minister, British Counterpart Discusses Regional Developments
Abu Dhabi, April 18 (QNA) - UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Yvette Cooper on Saturday discussed developments in the region, as well as the unprovoked Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of countries, and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, the safety of international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.
Yvette Cooper reaffirmed her country's solidarity with the UAE in taking the necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, safeguard the integrity of its territory, and ensure the security of its citizens, residents, and visitors.
The two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments related to the ceasefire declaration between the United States and Iran, and discussed the importance of intensifying international efforts to consolidate security and stability and enhance the prospects for sustainable peace in the region, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.
