Turkish Foreign Minister: Israeli Occupation Seeks to Annex More Land Under Security Pretext
Ankara, April 18 (QNA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday said that the Israeli occupation is not seeking its own security but rather the annexation of more land.
In a speech during an event held as part of the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Fidan explained that the occupation authorities are using the issue of security as a pretext to attempt to seize more land. He drew attention to the expansionist policy towards Palestinian territories, including Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Lebanon, and Syria.
He stressed the necessity for the ongoing occupation approach by the Israeli occupation to cease as soon as possible, noting that the only way to live in peace in the region forever is for other countries to respect each other's territorial integrity and recognize their borders.
Fidan emphasized that the Israeli occupation has not fulfilled its obligations related to the first phase of the peace plan, particularly regarding humanitarian aid. He called for allowing more medical and humanitarian aid into Gaza and for the Palestinian technical committee to begin its work within the Gaza Strip. (QNA)
