Kuwaiti FM Discusses Regional Developments with Arab Counterparts
Kuwait, August 17 (QNA) - Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah held phone calls Tuesday with several Arab counterparts to discuss regional developments.
He discussed with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, restore calm, and strengthen regional security and stability.
In a separate call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, the two stressed the need to intensify efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain regional developments.
They also emphasized returning to the US-Iran memorandum of understanding as a basis for resuming diplomacy and reaching a sustainable settlement, while respecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity, good-neighborly relations, and the security and freedom of international navigation.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister also discussed regional developments and de-escalation efforts with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. (QNA)
