Libya Oil Revenues Come Ahead of Expectations
Tripoli, August 11 (QNA) - The Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade announced that economic and financial performance indicators for the first half of this year showed an improvement in exports and oil revenues.
In a statement issued today, the ministry said oil export revenues from Jan. 1 to Jun. 30 amounted to USD 15.234 billion, exceeding the USD 13.985 billion target by almost 9 percent.
The statement added that crude oil production reached 246 million barrels during the same period, compared with a target of 252 million barrels, with part of the production continuing to be allocated to meet the needs of the domestic market and power plants. (QNA)
