New York, August 12 (QNA) - Gold prices fell today but remained close to the more than two-month high reached earlier in the session.

Spot gold fell 0.3 percent to USD 4,376.31 per ounce, after earlier reaching USD 4,434.84, its highest level since Jun. 5. Meanwhile, US gold futures rose 0.5 percent to USD 4,441.10. Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 1.4 percent to USD 64.80 per ounce, platinum declined 0.7 percent to USD 1,740.37, and palladium dropped 1.3 percent to USD 1,365.60. (QNA)
