Brussels, March 12 (QNA) - European stock indices closed lower Thursday, amid ongoing monitoring of developments in the Middle East conflict and fluctuations in global oil prices.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 3.99 points, or 0.7 percent, to close at 598.55 points.

The French CAC 40 index also closed lower, dropping 57.37 points, or 0.71 percent, to finish at 7,984 points.
The British FTSE 100 index declined 48.62 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 10,305.15 points.

The German DAX index fell 67.59 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 23,572 points. (QNA)
