Iraq: Passenger Traffic Returns to Shalamcheh Border Crossing with Iran
Baghdad, April 04 (QNA) - Iraqi authorities announced on Saturday the return of passenger traffic to normal at the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iran.
In a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Head of the Border Ports Authority Lieutenant General Omar Al Waeli said, "Passenger traffic at the Shalamcheh border crossing has returned to normal."
Earlier today, Iraqi authorities had suspended trade and passenger traffic at the border crossing after an attack had targeted the passenger terminal on the Iranian side, killing one Iraqi passenger and injuring five others. (QNA)
