Turkish, Ukrainian Presidents Discuss Ukraine-Russia Peace Process
Ankara, April 04 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is paying a visit to Turkiye. The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the two countries, the Ukraine-Russia peace process as well as regional and global issues.
A statement by Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications said Erdogan emphasized that Turkiye's support for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will continue, and underlined that the region requires greater peace and stability.
Erdogan also stated that Turkiye attaches great importance to the safety of navigation in the Black Sea and highlighted the significance of energy supply security.
The Turkish President further noted Turkiye's determination to expand its trade relations with Ukraine, and reiterated that the necessary steps to this end will continue to be taken.
In addition, Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with Ukraine's efforts to strengthen and further develop its relations with Gulf countries. (QNA)
