2030 Winter Olympics Organizing Committee Announces President's Resignation
Paris, September 10 (QNA) - The organizing committee for the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games "Alps 2030" in the French Alps announced today the resignation of its president, Edgar Grospiron, after roughly 18 months in office.
Widely anticipated, the resignation of 1992 Olympic freestyle skiing champion Edgar Grospiron as president of the Alps 2030 organizing committee was officially approved during an executive board meeting.
The committee described his departure as an orderly, responsible transition designed to advance project governance and swiftly propel the organization into a new operational phase.
His departure comes amid governance crises that have affected the organizing committee for months, marked by internal disputes and the resignations of several officials, including Vice President Cyril Linette last February. (QNA)
