QSE Index Opens Lower
Doha, May 10 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 26.42 points, or 0.25%, at the start of Sunday's trading, down to 10,687 points compared to the previous session's closing, under pressure from five sectors.
The market was weighed down in the Banks and Financial Services sector by -0.43%, Insurance (-0.39%), Industrials (-0.12%), Telecoms (-0.12%), and Consumer Goods and Services (-0.10%). Meanwhile, performance was positive for Real Estate (+0.26%) and Transportation (+0.21%).
By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 58.609 million, with 36.789 million shares traded in 3,138 transactions. (QNA)
