Doha, May 08 (QNA) - May 08 (QNA) - The Polish national team won the men's category title in the World Beach Volleyball Challenge 2022, organized by the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) under the supervision of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), on the Al Gharafa Beach Courts.
Bryl and Losiak completed their perfect week of play in the Qatari capital with a two-set (21-18, 21-15) victory over Italians Paolo Nicolai and Samuele Cottafava to take the title on SundayThe Poles were never in danger during their campaign in Doha, winning all their six matches in three days in straight sets.
Austrians Martin Ermacora and Moritz Pristauz completed the all-European podium in Doha with their first international medal since November 2020. The bronze medalists of the 2019 European Championship topped Dutch Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot in straight sets (21-17, 21-18) to take bronze in Doha.
Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado became the first team to win multiple gold medals on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour after the experienced Brazilians stepped on to the top of the podium at the Doha Challenge on Sunday.
After winning the Beach Pro Tour's inaugural event in Tlaxcala in March, the 34-year veterans were again victorious at the Al Gharafa Beach Courts in the Qatari capital and completely dominated their German rivals Chantal Laboureur and Sarah Schulz to a two-set (21-13, 21-13) victory in the gold medal match.
Following the conclusion of the competitions, President of the Qatar and West Asian Volleyball Federations, member of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Board of Directors, Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, HE Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the State of Qatar Alessandro Bruns, and Technical Supervisor of FIVB, Flavio Danielis, crowned the champions.
