Paris, June 23 (QNA) - Qatar Development Bank (QDB) participated in VivaTech 2026, Europe's largest startup and technology event, which recently concluded in Paris, France.
The participation reflects the bank's ongoing efforts to build partnerships and strengthen Qatar's position as a strategic investment destination and a model launchpad for promising startups in the region.
During a panel discussion titled "Building For the AI Era", CEO of QDB Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al Sowaidi highlighted the key factors that make Qatar an attractive destination for startups operating in the deep technology and artificial intelligence sectors. He also discussed the support provided by the national business ecosystem for developing and adopting innovative solutions based on these technologies, thereby enhancing the growth of promising companies and supporting the development of a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy.
During the session, the QDB CEO pointed to the integrated services and comprehensive business model offered by the bank to support companies based in Qatar, adding that the bank has responded to the increasing maturity of Qatar's business ecosystem and the strong demand for the Startup Qatar Investment Program from around the world by raising the investment limit for companies through the program to QAR 4 million in the startup phase and QAR 20 million in the growth and expansion phase.
