For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper noted that the working visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Hellenic Republic, and his discussions with HE Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis,آ constitute a significant step in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, ushering them into a new phase.
The newspaper explained that relations between the State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic witnessed continuous development until they reached distinguished levels of cooperation and partnership.
The newspaper highlighted HH the Amir's statement that his meeting with the Greek Prime Minister focused on prospects for enhancing cooperation through further bilateral partnerships in promising and diverse sectors. It noted that the distinguished level of bilateral relations reflects the shared commitment of both countries to strengthen this cooperation in a way that serves their common interests and aspirations.
Al-Sharq concluded by stating that relations between the State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic are poised to expand to broader horizons, reflecting shared aspirations to build robust partnerships, particularly in military cooperation, trade, investment, energy, information technology, culture, education, and other sectors of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Al-Arab newspaper highlighted the importance of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to Athens. The visit affirmed that Qatari diplomacy is not limited to de-escalating tensions, but also seeks to strengthen strategic partnerships that transcend geographical boundaries, leading to stability and shared interests simultaneously.
The newspaper noted that the visit reflected a growing trajectory in relations between Doha and Athens, moving beyond mere protocol to encompass broader economic and investment cooperation. This reflects a mutual understanding of the depth and importance of relations between the two countries, particularly in light of the rapid transformations the world is witnessing.
The newspaper noted that the most significant aspect of this visit lies in the similarity of political visions, particularly regarding the issues of tension in the Middle East. The shared emphasis on de-escalation and the push for diplomatic solutions reflects a rare consensus in approaching crises and lends additional momentum to Qatar's role as a trusted mediator seeking to prevent the region from sliding further into confrontation.
Al-Arab concluded by affirming that the visit reflected the consistency of Qatar's approach, which is based on a balanced approach that supports regional stability while embracing high-quality international partnerships.
In the local arena, the Peninsula newspaper pointed out that Qatar’s tourism sector is entering a renewed phase of growth, marked by resilience, reinvention and a clear shift towards year-round destination appeal. Following a temporary slowdown triggered by regional uncertainties, the country is demonstrating how strategic planning and diversified offerings can accelerate recovery and position tourism on a stronger, more sustainable footing.
At the heart of this revival is the launch of the â€کHala Summer’ campaign. By extending activities across several months and curating experiences tailored to families and younger audiences, the country is broadening its tourism base while encouraging longer stays and repeat visits.
The addition of new beaches, recreational spaces and entertainment venues expands the country’s portfolio while enhancing its appeal as a leisure destination, the newspaper said, adding that at the same time, established events such as maritime exhibitions and large-scale festivals reinforce Qatar’s ability to host international audiences and create recurring tourism anchors throughout the year.
The newspaper concluded by noting that early indicators suggest that public interest remains strong. High attendance at recent events and growing engagement with seasonal offerings point to pent-up demand that is now being effectively tapped. This momentum, if sustained, can help restore confidence among investors and stakeholders while reinforcing Qatar’s image as a reliable and dynamic destination. (QNA)
