Doha, December 05 (QNA) - Coach of Switzerland national team Murat Yakin confirmed that the team will play a match on Tuesday against Portugal, motivated by winning to make a new history.

Yakin told press that they are ready for tomorrow's match, in which they strive to be the best in order to achieve a good result to get a historic qualification for the Swiss national team, noting that the team is fully ready after the return of the injured for this crucial match.

He confirmed that statistics and the past do not matter, adding that the team is focused on tomorrow's game and have proven before that they can win, explaining that the Swiss team is good and developed and can win tomorrow to qualify for the next round.

Regarding Cristiano Ronaldo, Yakin commented that they will play the game with a high tactic, highlighting the seriousness of Ronaldo, refusing to explain how they will play tomorrow. He reiterated that they have trained for all possibilities, including penalty shootouts.

Switzerland's player Breel Embolo underlined that his country's national team is ready for the match that it will play in a one-team spirit and has the opportunity to win and give the best performance, adding that tomorrow's match is difficult, and they have to respect the opponent and be at the right state of mind to overtake their strong rival.

Embolo said that Ronaldo is a player who gives players inspiration to deliver sophisticated levels, expressing his happiness to play in a match where Ronaldo is present.

The Swiss national team managed to qualify for the round of 16 for the third time in a row, and tomorrow they will try to get through to the quarterfinals for the fourth time in a row in their history.
