Cairo, November 01 (QNA) - The Arab Parliament condemned, in the strongest terms, the targeting of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "Al Mayeda," owned by Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited "Nakilat," while it was sailing in the waters of the Arabian Gulf.

In a statement on Sunday, the Arab Parliament deemed such attacks a serious threat to regional security, the safety of maritime navigation, and the security of global energy supplies. It affirmed its full solidarity with the State of Qatar, expressing support for all measures Qatar may take to protect its security, ensure the safety of its maritime vessels, and safeguard its international trade.

The Arab Parliament also stressed the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in ensuring the security of maritime navigation and the safety of international trade, and in addressing such attacks in accordance with the rules of international law. (QNA)
