Abu Dhabi, November 01 (QNA) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has condemned in the strongest terms the attack targeting the liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "Al Mayeda," owned by Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat), while it was sailing in the Arabian Gulf.

In a statement issued Sunday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the attack poses a grave threat to e safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies, in addition to having serious environmental consequences. It represents a dangerous escalation targeting the security and stability of vital waterways.

The UAE expressed solidarity with the State of Qatar and stressed the need to respect international law, ensure the safety and security of commercial vessels, energy carriers, and their crews, and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize maritime navigation or energy supplies. (QNA)
