Doha, December 05 (QNA) - The Moroccan national football team will face their Spanish counterpart at Education City Stadium, tomorrow, in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 round of 16.

In this confrontation, the Moroccan national team carries the hopes of Arab fans to achieve a positive result and go through to the quarterfinals, for the first time in the history of Arab participation in World Cup finals.

The Moroccan squad enters the confrontation with high spirits, after having topped Group F with seven points, surpassing Belgium, Croatia and Canada, to repeat their 1986 World Cup achievement.

Being the only Arab representative in the Knock-out stage, the Moroccan squad is looking tomorrow for their fifth victory in World Cup finals. Morocco's first victory in the World Cup came in the 1986 edition in Mexico, when they defeated Portugal 3-1, before waiting 12 years to achieve their second victory by defeating Scotland 3-0 in the 1998 edition in France, before defeating Belgium and Canada in the current World Cup edition.

Moroccan national squad's Coach Walid Regragui developed a defensive tactic where all players, including the offensive line, participate in defending off the ball.(QNA)
