Doha, November 30 (QNA) - Qatar Legacy Ambassador and Oman football legend Ali Al Habsi said that the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was impressive and affirmed Qatar's outstanding hosting at all levels related to the World Cup.
Speaking exclusively to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the former goalkeeper stressed the distinguished organization is a response to the schemes targeting Qatar over its World Cup bid.
Qatar reflected a beautiful image of the Arab and Muslim hospitality, Al Habsi said, noting that the wonderful epic scene of all football fans from all over the world represented an outstanding feature of the universality of the championship.
The 40-year-old said that the anti-Qatar campaigns were unsuccessful thanks to the pouring acclaim from all over the world, particularly from many English journalists who came to cover the World Cup and also some retired English Premier League players.
All Arabs had great confidence in Qatar's ability to organize this historic and exceptional World Cup edition, and this was proven by Qatar, which reflected a wonderful image to the world that the Arabs respect and value people, regardless of their nationality or belief, Al Habsi added. (QNA)
