Poland's Coach: Facing Mexico Challenging, Looking Forward to Writing History During this Edition

Doha, November 21 (QNA) - The Polish national team Coach Czeslaw Michniewicz affirmed his aspiration to write history for his country in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing the strength of Group C in which Poland plays, with each of the Group C teams having close chances to qualify for the second round.

Michniewicz said in the press conference held today before the Poland-Mexico match tomorrow that there will be no formation surprises in this coming confrontation, especially since the two teams know each other well, additionally, it is possible to analyze players performance and know their capabilities using modern technologies.

He added that the Mexican national teams level is similar to that of the Polish team, and that the Mexican squad has very impressive players in various positions, indicating that he has studied the Mexican squad during the last period and analyzed its performance theoretically, waiting to see the practice on the ground, especially as Mexico is a strong competitor. Michniewicz indicated that he has decided the squads formation for tomorrows match, and will inform the players of it today, for them to have clear minds and prepare for the match well, especially that the selection was based on recent training and the physical and technical condition of the players.

Poland national football teams Coach confirmed his aspiration to qualify for the second round, especially in light of the team's failure during the last sixteen years.

However, he stressed that Group C is a strong one, with all of its teams seeking to qualify, indicating that the Argentine team is the groups strongest, not to underestimate the Saudi team either, in light of the great public support it will receive.

Michniewicz considered that the Polish squad includes a distinguished mix of experienced and young players who are able to go far. The Coach added that with all due respect to all the teams, only that his focus is on defeating Mexico in the opening match, to then think about the matches with Argentina and Saudi Arabia.

In turn, Polish national team Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny explained that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 may be his last as well the last for a generation of players in the national team, therefore they will strive to present their best and achieve a success that future generations will remember.

Szczesny said at the press conference that footballers will strive to do their best and avoid an early exit from the World Cup, similar to previous tournaments. He also considered that negative experiences motivate players and help them to do their best and achieve.

The Goalkeeper added that Polands first match, against Mexico is important for the teams advancement in the tournament, and that it is imperative that the team win and gather its points in order to enhance its chances of qualifying, pointing out that the Polish Squad did not get the opportunity to adequately prepare for the match, given that it arrived in Qatar three days ago only.

For his part, player Grzegorz Krychowiak stressed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is amazing, and that the Polish national team will only focus on playing football in the tournament and seek to win tomorrow against Mexico in order to enhance the teams chances of qualifying for the next round.

The Polish player saw that the Argentine national team is the most likely to qualify at the top of Group C, whilst at the same time stressing the need for his country to play good matches in order to win, especially since Mexico is one of the strong teams, in addition to the Saudi national team, which made an impressive appearance during the preparation period.
