Doha, November 21 (QNA) - FIFA announced that almost 3 million tickets had been sold for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals.

A FIFA spokesperson said that 2.95 million tickets had been sold as of the opening day on Sunday. The top purchasing countries are Qatar, the host country, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico, Britain, the UAE, Argentina, France, India and Brazil.

Earlier, FIFA President Gianni Infantino revealed that the tournament had helped boost revenues over the past four years to a record $7.5 billion.
