Washington, November 21 (QNA) - US President Joe Biden made a phone call to the US national team coach participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, urging him to put on a strong show.

The US national team will meet its counterpart, Wales, at 10 pm today, Monday, at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in the Group B matches.

The CBS news reported on Monday that Biden told the players during the call, "I know you're the underdog, but I'll tell you what, man, you've got some of the best players in the world on your team.

You are representing this country, and I know you're gonna play your hearts out. So let's go shock 'em all." "Keep trusting one another, play as hard as you can, and you know, for you and your families, your teammates, and the whole country is rooting for you," he continued.

Group B includes the US, Wales, England, and Iran. The Group B matches will kick off with England and Iran at Khalifa International Stadium at 4 pm today.
