Doha, November 20 (QNA) - Qatar national team match against Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening match witnessed an attendance of 67,372 fans at Al Bayt Stadium.

Qatar made its first participation in World Cup history, which goes back to 1930. Saad Al Sheeb took the championship's first yellow card in the 15th minute.

Enner Valencia scored the tournament's first two goals in the 16th minute and 31st minute.

Qatar national team received four yellow cards for Saad Al Sheeb, Almoez Ali, Karim Boudiaf, and Akram Afif. Ecuador's Moises Caicedo and Jason Mendez got yellow cards each.
Daniele Orsato of Italy officiated the game. The Italian obtained an international license in 2010.

Qatar had 47 percent of possession to 53 percent of Ecuador. Qatar's players were caught three times in offside. Both teams made 15 fouls. Qatar had one corner kick to three for Ecuador.
