Doha, September 09 (QNA) - The Joint Committee for Selecting Candidates for Officer and Other Ranks in Military Entities, established under the Permanent Unified Committee for the Selection of Officer Candidates for Military Entities, is continuing its efforts to attract qualified Qatari women and provide opportunities to pursue military and security education and training programs, as part of efforts to strengthen the role of Qatari women and expand their participation in various fields of military and security work.
The initiative includes a number of specialized academic and training programs. The Ministry of Defense offers a Technical Institute Diploma in cooperation with the University of Doha for Science and Technology, accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The program aims to prepare and qualify Qatari women for technical specializations that meet the needs of the armed forces through a system combining academic education, practical training and military discipline.
The Ministry of Interior also offers a two-year Police Sciences Diploma program designed to equip participants with the police and security knowledge and skills needed to carry out their assigned duties and responsibilities efficiently and professionally.
The launch of these programs reflects the ministries of defense and interior's commitment to investing in the training and development of outstanding Qatari women and opening professional and specialized career paths for them in line with the requirements and needs of various entities.
In its first year, the committee is working to standardize selection and admission procedures based on precise and transparent criteria that promote equal opportunity and establish a unified approach to attracting and selecting qualified candidates. The effort is intended to strengthen the presence of Qatari women and their active participation in the development of the military and security sectors. (QNA)
