Doha, September 06 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will host the 111th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on Sep. 28-29, with the participation of delegations from member countries, policymakers, business leaders, clients, partners and a number of stakeholders from around the world.
With the theme "Tomorrow's Infrastructure: Impact and Innovation," the Annual Meeting marks AIIB's transition into its second decade and highlights its continued focus on scaling up investment in sustainable infrastructure investment across AIIB members.
The annual meeting is the bank's key event in the field of governance and stakeholder engagement, where participants discuss the bank's strategic directions, operational priorities, and its agenda and plans for the coming years, with a focus on enhancing the impact of investments and innovation in the infrastructure sector.
The meeting being held in Doha confirms the important role that the State of Qatar plays in supporting sustainable development efforts and promoting international cooperation in the areas of infrastructure and investment. (QNA)
