Japanese Yen Jumps to 1-Month High Against USD on BOJ Hike Expectations
Tokyo, September 04 (QNA) - The Japanese yen rose today to its highest level against the US dollar in nearly a month, trading at around JPY 155 to the dollar at one point.
The currency extended gains that began two days ago amid speculation that the Bank of Japan (BOJ) would raise interest rates more quickly.
Despite the yen's strength, foreign exchange traders remained cautious ahead of the US jobs report due later today as markets await the impact of labor market data on the direction of US monetary policy and the path of interest rates. (QNA)
