Doha, September 04 (QNA) - Al Shamal SC announced on Friday that it has signed Senegalese defender Youssouf Sabaly to bolster its first-team squad.
In a statement published on its official website, the club said Sabaly brings extensive experience to the team, having previously played for Al Duhail in Qatar, as well as Spanish side Real Betis and French clubs Bordeaux, Nantes, Evian and Paris Saint-Germain. He has also represented the Senegal national team.
The club did not disclose the length of the contract or the financial details of the deal.
The current season holds particular significance for Al Shamal as the club prepares to make its first-ever appearance in the AFC Champions League Elite.
As part of its preparations for the challenges ahead, Al Shamal has strengthened its squad with several new signings, including French forward Wesley Said, Uruguayan midfielder Federico Perez, and Ibrahim Coulibaly. (QNA)
