Doha, September 03 (QNA) - Al Ahli secured their first Doha Bank Stars League victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Qatar SC at Al Thumama Stadium on Thursday.
Younes Hussein scored the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, following up after Driss Fettouhi's header struck the crossbar.
Qatar SC were reduced to 10 men in the 11th minute when Issa Ahmed was sent off for a heavy challenge on Ahmed Riyad.
Al Ahli dominated after the dismissal but were frustrated by goalkeeper Ali Nader, who made several important saves. The home side also had two goals ruled out for offside before Hussein finally broke the deadlock.
The victory takes Al Ahli to four points from three matches, while Qatar SC remain on one point after suffering their second defeat of the campaign. (QNA)
