Doha, September 28 (QNA) - The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, in cooperation with Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Doha, has inaugurated the exhibition 'from roots, through cultures, to the future.'
Held under the slogan 'heritage of the past, inspiration for the future,' the exhibition will run at Katara's Building 47 until October 3.
With the aim of strengthening cultural ties between Qatar and Turkiye, the exhibition draws on traditional values and historical and cultural heritage, reinterpreting them through a modern creative vision that opens new horizons for future generations.
Director of Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Doha, Enver Gedik said the works on display highlight the importance of preserving cultural heritage while also reinterpreting it in new ways that allow it to be passed on to future generations.
Gedik added that Qatar and Turkiye share a similar vision regarding the importance of culture and the arts, as well as preserving traditions.
The exhibition contributes to strengthening both countries' cultural ties and provides an opportunity for deeper understanding through art, he noted.
For her part, Qatari designer and exhibition participant, Elham Al Ansari said her participation focuses on combining elements of Qatari heritage and culture with the Turkish art of Ebru.
Al Ansari explained that she incorporated Qatari and Turkish motifs and visual elements into her paintings and designs, presenting Qatari heritage in a contemporary spirit and creating a visual dialogue that brings the two cultures together. (QNA)
