Algiers, September 27 (QNA) - Algerian Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arka, held talks with the Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais, during his current visit to Algeria.

Arka and Al Ghais discussed developments in the global petroleum market and the challenges that petroleum industry faces.

The two sides also discussed issues regarding cooperation and coordination between the member countries of the OPEC's Declaration of Cooperation.

The talks also touched on the working mechanism of OPEC, its governance and priorities, in addition to ways to strengthen the Organization's ability to face changes witnessed by the global market. (QNA)
