Jeddah, September 24 (QNA) - The United Arab Emirates opened their Gulf Cup campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Yemen on Thursday at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

The UAE took control of Group B with three points, ahead of the second group match between Qatar and Bahrain later tonight.

Nicolas Gimenez scored twice, finding the net in the 26th and 52nd minutes. Yemen defender Nader Sahal also scored an own goal in the 36th minute, while Luan Pereira added the UAE's third goal in first-half stoppage time. (QNA)
