Riyadh, September 24 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi condemned in the strongest terms Houthi group's launch of ballistic missiles toward the cities of Taif and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the GCC General Secretariat, Albudaiwi stressed that Houthi group's continued targeting of Saudi territory and civilian lives with ballistic missiles reflects its persistence in pursuing a dangerous course of escalation.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the GCC states' unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and their full support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. (QNA)
