New York, September 23 (QNA) - Addressing the 81st UN General Assembly, Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa outlined state recovery through territorial unification, arms control, institutional rebuilding, sanction relief, and transitional justice.
Al Sharaa reiterated rejection of Israeli aggression on his country, affirming the Golan's Syrian sovereignty and declaring all annexation measures void under UN Resolution 497. 
He recommitted to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement while demanding an Israeli pullback to December 8, 2024, lines.
On former regime chemical stockpiles, Al Sharaa highlighted the eight-nation "Breath of Freedom" task force that destroyed 42 chemical bombs, restoring Syria's full OPCW standing. He added that Damascus is fully cooperating with the IAEA. (QNA)
