Locarno, September 22 (QNA) - Qatar national skydiving team, affiliated with the Qatar Air Sports Committee under the Joint Special Forces, won the team event gold medal at the SWCS Locarno Final in Switzerland, competing against 35 teams from 16 countries.
HE Commander of Special Forces and Chairman of the Qatar Air Sports Committee Major General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Otaibi commended the victory, expressing his pride in the "Al Hadaf" team champions for winning gold, which reflects the high efficiency, determination, and competitive spirit of Qatar's athletes.
This success, he said, is the result of continuous hard work, rigorous training, discipline, and teamwork.
He urged the team to maintain the same spirit and make every achievement a stepping stone toward greater success, stressing that the team’s ambition remains focused on the top spot.
Team captain Abdulaziz Al Hajaji expressed his pride in the achievement, dedicating the gold medal to Qatar, its leadership and people. He said the team was proud to raise the Qatari flag on the international podium. (QNA)
