Held under the title "Beyond the Label: Medications and Supplements", the session drew a wide range of participants and examined the safety and everyday use of prescription medications and dietary supplements.
The panel highlighted the need for clear, evidence-based communication between healthcare providers, patients and the wider public, particularly as self-medication, supplement use and personalized approaches to pharmacotherapy continue to evolve.

They also highlighted emerging opportunities in pharmacogenomics and personalized dosing, including how genetic information may help tailor medication choices and improve treatment outcomes.
Now in its 3rd year, the Science Cafe series remains a cornerstone of the partnership between Msheireb Museums and Sidra Medicine and their shared engagement with the community.
