Nagoya, September 22 (QNA) - Qatar has won its second karate medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, with Abdullah Rashad taking bronze in the men's under-84kg kumite.
Rashad defeated Palestine's Abdullah Al Khatib 8-0 in the bronze-medal bout in Nagoya on Tuesday.
His medal follows teammate Abdulrahman Mustafa's silver in the men's under-60kg category two days earlier.
Qatar fielded three karate athletes at the Games, with Yaman Ashraf competing in the under-67kg division.
The Qatari karate team finished the competition with one silver and one bronze medal.
Officials said the results reflected the team's progress against strong Asian competition and expressed hopes of securing further medals at future continental and international events. (QNA)
