Paris, September 21 (QNA) - Euronext wheat prices rose Monday as Russia-Ukraine strikes shattered hopes for a Black Sea export recovery, while US-China summit optimism lifted Chicago grain futures.
December wheat on Euronext climbed 0.9 percent to EUR 243.75 (USD 279.63) per ton, while Chicago wheat jumped nearly 2 percent, aided by rising corn prices and positive weekend US-China talks ahead of President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping's upcoming meeting.
Attacks on ships and ports have virtually halted Russian and Ukrainian Black Sea exports. Though Russia is using alternative export routes, volumes remain well below normal Black Sea levels. (QNA)
