Beijing, September 21 (QNA) - At least eight people were killed and one injured after a fire broke out at a textile factory in southern China, said Chinese local authorities on Monday.
Authorities in Guangdong said the incident occurred at a textile factory in the province's city of Foshan, Xinhua News Agency reported. Rescue operations are still underway.
On July 28, people were killed following a fire that broke out at a factory in Xinjiang, eastern China's Fujian Province.
Fire incidents at factories and industrial facilities in China frequently raise issues of workplace safety and fire prevention measures, especially in facilities with large numbers of workers. (QNA)
