QNA Director-General Participates in 58th OANA Executive Board Meeting in Moscow

Moscow, September 20 (QNA) - HE Director-General of Qatar News Agency (QNA) Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi participated in the 58th meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), held in Moscow.

The meeting brought together heads and representatives of 14 news agencies that are members of the organization's Executive Board.

Participants reviewed the organization's financial and technical reports and discussed various issues related to the development of its operations. The meeting also saw announcements on expanding membership in the Technical and Ethics Committees and completing technical updates to the organization's website.

A general session marking the 65th anniversary of OANA's founding is scheduled for Monday, with several memoranda of understanding to be signed during the session.

The program will also include panel discussions on various issues related to media, including Methods to Combat the Spread of Misinformation and Fake News; Media and Artificial Intelligence: Methodologies and Ethics in the Digital Age; and Content Quality: Strategies for Maintaining Professional Standards.
