6.1-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Papua New Guinea
Port Moresby, September 20 (QNA) - A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Sunday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 114 kilometers, according to GFZ.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
Papua New Guinea is prone to frequent earthquakes and volcanic activity as it lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire. (QNA)
