Kuwait, September 02 (QNA) - Kuwait voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attack that targeted the Saudi tanker (SIDR) while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in the deaths of the tanker's crew, in flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. 2817, and a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.
In a statement on Wednesday, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and adherence to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation, affirming its rejection of any attack on the security and safety of maritime navigation.
The ministry reiterated Kuwait's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, standing by its side and supporting all measures it may take to preserve its sovereignty and protect its security and interests. (QNA)
