Aichi-Nagoya, September 16 (QNA) - Qatar opened their women's volleyball campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games with a 3-0 defeat by Vietnam on Wednesday.

Vietnam won the three sets 25-3, 25-8 and 25-9 in the Group D match.

Qatar will face South Korea on Thursday before completing its group-stage campaign against Hong Kong on Friday.

South Korea also opened its campaign with a 3-0 victory over Hong Kong, winning 25-23, 25-12 and 25-12.

The preliminary round features 14 teams divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals.

Qatar are in Group D alongside Vietnam, South Korea and Hong Kong. (QNA)
