Cairo, September 13 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Fahmy met today with United Nations Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for Sudan, Pekka Haavisto.

The meeting discussed developments in Sudan and the outcomes of the recent visit to Khartoum by the Quintet Mechanism, which comprises the Arab League, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the European Union, and the United Nations, as well as ways to support peace and stability in Sudan.
