Aqarat: Property Sales Value Declines in 37th Week of 2026

Doha, September 13 (QNA) - Some indicators of Qatar's real estate market declined last week, the 37th week of 2026, according to data from the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat).
The data, published on the authority's account on X, showed that the total value of sale contracts last week, from Sept. 6 to 12, amounted to QR 354.5 million, down 52.8 percent from the previous week and 32.2 percent from the same week a year earlier. A total of 118 contracts were executed, up 1.7 percent week over week and down 12.6 percent year over year.
Aqarat said sales during the week were distributed by property type as follows: villas accounted for QR 150.1 million, or 42.3 percent; vacant land for QR 128.2 million, or 36.2 percent; residential apartments for QR 40.2 million, or 11.3 percent; and other property types for QR 36.1 million, or 10.2 percent. Doha Municipality led trading with QR 115.3 million, followed by Al Daayen Municipality with QR 86.2 million and Al Rayyan Municipality with QR 75.3 million.
The authority said 13 mortgage contracts were registered during the week, with a total value of QR 115.17 million.
In the rental sector, 538 contracts were recorded with a total value of QR 5.47 million, down 68.5 percent week over week and 57.8 percent year over year. By property type, villas accounted for QR 2.36 million, or 43.2 percent, followed by apartments at QR 1.89 million, or 34.6 percent, and commercial showrooms at QR 0.86 million, or 15.8 percent. Other property types accounted for QR 0.35 million, or 6.4 percent. Al Rayyan Municipality ranked first in rental value at QR 2.5 million, followed by Doha Municipality at QR 1.2 million and Al Daayen Municipality at QR 0.8 million. (QNA)
