Doha, September 12 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by several drones launched from the Republic of Iraq, resulting in injuries and material damage.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that targeting civilian and economic facilities constitutes a reprehensible act and a blatant violation of international law, as well as a dangerous escalation that could undermine the security and stability of the region.

The Ministry commended the responsible approach adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Iraqi government's efforts to prevent its territory from being used to launch attacks against Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.

The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security and facilities. (QNA)
