LoginRussian Defense Ministry Announces Capture of Two Towns in Ukraine's Kharkiv Region
Moscow, September 10 (QNA) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces have taken control of two towns in the Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine.
In a statement, the ministry reported that its military units continued to advance deep into the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defensive lines, capturing the towns of Zarubinka and Gubtovka in Kharkiv.
It noted that 215 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in battles along this sector of the front, adding that Ukrainian forces lost numerous armored vehicles, artillery pieces, and a counter-battery radar system in the area.
Recent days have seen a Russian advance in eastern Ukraine, prompting Kyiv's Western allies to mobilize additional financial support. This aid aims to enable the Zelenskyy administration to purchase extra equipment and ammunition to help its forces repel Russian drone attacks, which have increasingly targeted major Ukrainian cities, particularly the capital, Kyiv.
