Gold Holds Steady Ahead of Inflation Data, US Interest Rate Path
Singapore, September 10 (QNA) - Gold prices were little changed during early Asian hours on Thursday as market participants hunkered down for key inflation readings that could influence the US central bank's interest rate path.
Spot gold held nearly steady at $4,396.69 per ounce, while gold futures for December delivery were down 0.4% at $4,440.80.
US Producer Price Index (PPI) data is due this afternoon, and consumer inflation figures are due on Friday.
Among other metals, spot silver was flat at $67.30 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1% at $1,897.57 and palladium gained 0.2% to $1,355.44. (QNA)
