Oman's Natural Gas Output Climbs 6.4% to 34.9B Cubic Meters
Muscat, September 01 (QNA) - Oman's natural gas production rose by 6.4 percent to reach 34,979,400,000 cubic meters through the end of July 2026, compared with 32,879,900,000 cubic meters during the same period last year.
Data issued by the Oman National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that associated gas production rose by 7.8 percent through the end of July, reaching 7,877,900,000 cubic meters, compared with 7,308,600,000 cubic meters during the same period of the previous year.
Non-associated gas production, including imports, also rose by 6 percent to reach 27,101,500,000 cubic meters through the end of July, compared with 25,571,300,000 cubic meters during the same period in 2025.
At the consumption level, natural gas consumption in industrial projects rose by 5.9 percent to reach 17,334,800,000 cubic meters through the end of July, compared with 16,373,200,000 cubic meters during the same period last year.
Gas consumption in industrial areas, including industrial zones and consumption by Oman LNG, also declined by 31.2 percent to stand at 111,000,000 cubic meters through the end of July 2026, compared with 161,400,000 cubic meters during the same period in 2025. (QNA)
